Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Here at Standard Jiu Jitsu we separate our programs by levels. Think learning courses. Our BJJ program offers two levels of development, 101 Foundations and 102 All-Levels.
We offer No-Gi classes where practitioners can develop their grappling skills without the use of the traditional uniform, explore the world of leg locks, and learn the basics of wrestling.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
We believe that, even as a beginner, there is no replacement for real training. Our BJJ Basics program is designed for the complete beginner to the intermediate level practitioner. This class is an hour long and offers both purposeful drilling and focused grappling sessions to help the beginner attain a fundamental understanding of BJJ. This class focuses on developing the foundations for skill development, mental focus, and physical fitness.
Our mindset is all about growth. The all-levels classes are designed to help every level of practitioner to deepen their current skill sets. This class introduces the practitioner the full rigors of BJJ training and helps the practitioner develop mentally and physically for higher levels of competition and training. These classes are an hour and thirty minutes long and focus on higher level skill development, fitness, and competitive training.
Here at Standard Jiu Jitsu we believe in becoming a complete grappler. Our No-Gi 101 program will teach you the basics of grappling without the Gi. In this program the practitioner will learn the basics of wrestling, fundamental leg lock attacks and defenses, and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu basics. While participating in this class students will wear fight shorts, a rash guard, or other similarly styled athletic clothing. The class is an hour long and will feature both technical and live training drills focused around skill development, physical conditioning, and mental focus.
Our No-Gi all-levels program is created with the idea that the foundations are just a starting point. The all-levels class will allow each practitioner to learn how to apply their fundamental skill sets in a larger array of scenarios to help develop a complete and deeper understanding of submission grappling. These classes are an hour and thirty minutes long and are designed to help the practitioner learn the rigors of competition, sharpen their existing abilities, and reach a higher level of skill execution.
