Kids learn through play.
Children learn differently than adults. Their young developing brains and bodies are primed to wander and explore. They learn how to coordinate their bodies and minds by running, jumping, tumbling, laughing, and playing games with their friends.
If this is how children learn, why would we expect jiu-jitsu class to be any different?
Now, let's be honest. Playing just to play isn't enough to create an adequate learning environment. To avoid complete chaos, play must be directed and focused. Play must have a purpose.

We want our little grapplers to have fun and learn while doing it.
Here at Standard Jiujitsu, our instructors know this and each of our classes are designed to give the little grappler goal-oriented tasks and activities that help keep their focus proper form and technique.
Each game allows students to play within and explore the grappling environment while they learn to solve problems and develop effective techniques. This type of training helps keeps the children involved without experiencing boredom or having to withstand complicated explanations designed for adults.
Our program puts kids first, by keeping the program focused on how kids learn and what they enjoy doing, with each class designed to this end. Ultimately, we want our little grapplers to have fun and learn while doing it.
